HOLO

NYU Capstone Project

A true 3D hologram created from scratch, HOLO suspends digital models midair by utalizing a spinning matrix display on a maticulously engineered chassis.

How was it made?

Over a span of three months, HOLO was created through rapid prototyping, with over 200 engineering files of all components.

HOLO was presented to the faculty and staff of IMA at NYU, demonstrating a new medium at the Capstone show.

BACKGROUND

My love for invention started early, first with LEGO, then robotics, always fascinated by mechanics. At the same time, I spent countless hours drawing, exploring form, shape, and how things should feel. As I grew older, I began to naturally combine these two sides: the mechanical and the artistic. This led me to industrial design, where I found a space to build things that not only work well but also carry meaning through their design. Whether it’s a physical product, a mechanism, or an interface, I focus on creating objects that are functional, intuitive, and visually intentional.
