Organic Phone Case

Building on my previous phone case design, I have introduced a greater sense of organic freedom to the process. However, as I progressed with the design, I discovered that Fusion's capabilities for organic design were limited, as it was not primarily designed for this purpose. The organic aspect of this new design is evident in the absence of sharp edges, with everything following a flowing, terrain-like curve that resembles the surface of a planet. In developing this product, I applied the knowledge gained from ideation and prototyping to refine the design process.

To begin the design process, I created a grid layout using Figma to establish the desired terrain shape. The terrain was composed of three layers, each measuring 0.4mm in thickness. Next, I translated the grid layout into workable measurements using Fusion. I initially constructed the grid as squares, which I then rounded out to create a uniform terrain-like surface that followed the grid's structure. Once the designs were finalized, they were printed for testing and implementation. The final product was almost neuromorphic, which was something I never expected.
