The Copper Home
I created the Copper Home using Maya as an original exercise in interior design. Drawing inspiration from a Japanese home I visited years ago, I developed the layout based on my past interior sketches. Achieving balance in the lighting posed a challenge, given the roughly 40 light sources in the scene. Similarly, achieving balance in the surfacing was challenging, as there were many different materials to work with. Despite the difficulties, I found the project to be rewarding and it motivated me to expand my 3D design skills by creating from scratch.
Overall, I was really pleased with the result. Although not quite reality, the final render did resemble the inspiration I had for this project.
